Established in 1996, the Filipino Computer Club has trained more than 29,000 Filipinos in the UAE towards computer literacy and Information Technology excellence.
Training is provided by qualified Microsoft Certified Authorized Instructors, Microsoft Certified Trainers and Microsoft Office Specialists, who unselfishly volunteer their time and knowledge, upholding the principles of ICDL (Integrity, Commitment, Dedication and Leadership), in their quest to provide skills through:
• Computer Training Programs
• PC Hardware Configuration, PC Assembly & Networking Workshops
• Personality Development Course
• Toastmasters Club
We have also conducted Computer Training Outreach Program to our countrymen on October 4, 2002 in Fujairah, east coast of the Emirates about 140km from Dubai.
To enable us to achieve our goals we have enlisted the support of volunteers and Filipino professionals. What we lack in equipment we have solicited from private companies. Additional funds were also collected during our Halloween Party’s Fund Raising Drive, UN A La Mode and Raffle Draws which has helped us sustain our activities.
Lastly, the active participation of the Filipino community and the generosity and support of our government through the Philippine Embassy, Consulate General, Philippine Overseas Labor Office and Overseas Workers Welfare Administration have always been our strength and source of inspiration in this endeavor.
